What we do
In close cooperation with our customers and tailored to their specific requirements, we mainly design and build fully automatic transfer lines for machining, testing and measuring engine blocks and cylinder heads consisting of:
- Handling and transport systems
- Leak test stations for water jacket and crankcase testing using the relative pressure and mass flow methods, respectively.
- Deburring stations for burrs and air pipes
- 3-axis NC milling units for alignment surfaces
- Drilling and reaming units with temperature compensation
- Milling stations for 4-sided machining
- Hardness testing station with Brinell hardness test measurement
- Ultrasonic testing stations for wall thickness measurement and testing of oil channels for core breakage

Who we are
Operating rationale:
Schneider Maschinenservice GmbH came into being in 1995 when the special machine construction division of the bankrupt Meissner Modell- und Maschinenfabrik in Wallau was closed. Dieter Schneider and his sons Ralf and Thomas had initially dedicated themselves to servicing the special machines built by Meissner.
After an initial period with five employees in Dillenburg and with the encouraging confidence of the customers behind them, it was decided to increase the number of employees thanks to increasing orders and to initially build the first small special machines themselves. With the growing requirements and the prospect of becoming active in the construction of complete transfer systems, the company looked for larger premises and moved to Angelburg-Gönnern in 1997.
The number of employees grew to 25 within two years, of which 6 work in design, 3 in the office and 16 in production.
A second assembly hall was planned in 2000, due to the ever-increasing size of the transfer systems, and the company moved into it in 2001.
Through commissioning of large plants in Germany, international contacts were also established. (plants in England, Spain, China, Brazil and South Africa).

Measuring of the machined 4-cylinder blocks by means of inductive measuring probes and evaluation via measuring system configuration.
